Do not store cans with rings. They are not for this purpose. The lids will not rust, unless the rings in contact with him.
I graduated with 15 years of age. I am allowing only 14, to remove before the next group of products.
I thought of something that you try 1 and see if it works.
A little grease on page 1 of them. As Vaseline.
This works on tools and some car parts.
Rust in a matter not hurt, but with clean petroleum jelly, if it makes you feel better ...
